I am writing to share my experience attending classes facilitated by Arda Yazgan at Club Pilates in South Surrey.
I retired from the Surrey School District mid-2021. In August of 2021 I started Pilates classes. Although I have practiced yoga over the years, this was my first experience with Pilates. I was a little apprehensive at first but it turned out to be, and continues to be one of my best experiences ever! This great experience is directly related to how Arda leads and guides his students through his classes.
Initially, I wanted to explore the discipline and to experience different teaching styles and so I attended classes taught by different instructors. In a very short time, I felt Arda was the best of the best and I began to schedule as many classes as I could with him as instructor.
The difference with Arda is that he openly shares his knowledge and expertise - in a direct but yet fun way. Before we begin each exercise, Arda takes the time to demonstrate the correct position and posture, also showing us what is incorrect. While Arda’s classes are instructive and enjoyable, he is also just a little bit tough so that everyone is encouraged to grow in their practice. Arda consistently teaches the Pilates principles in an understandable way and also shares the potential impact of each exercise so to prevent unintended harm. Arda starts every class checking in with students about their needs, including any existing injuries. Arda pays attention to and assists every class member during his classes.
I regularly attended Arda’s classes at Club Pilates for three months before travelling internationally to visit my family in November 2021, who I had not seen in a couple of years. They noticed a difference. I stand straighter and I am stronger now. I thank Arda and Club Pilates for this growth.

My name is Zohar Hagbi, I`ve been working with Arda Yazgan on my physical overall health.
I gave birth 8 years ago and ever since then my body was all over the place.

My back, my lower back, my pelvic floor, I had to wear a belt to stabilize my lower body, I could not hold
my son while standing it was a nightmare.

Working with Arda is such a blessing, he is so precise with every movement that he shows me how to
do. I love it that he is always maximise every moment and he corrects me to do it on the best way.
On top of that, he makes sure that I will understand what kind of benefits I will get from it and how to
do it right.

I`ve been working with other instructors before, but Arda is something else and I stick with him.
He loves what he does with all his heart and you can see that it is his passion.
Im feeling stronger, healthier, I don’t have back pain anymore and im getting better every day.
Every time I’m seeing him and we are working on getting my body stronger, I also feels like im
understanding each movement better. Getting in touch with my body in a different, deeper way/level.
I highly recommend Arda, he is rare.

Arda has been an amazing help to me and my neck. His knowledge of the body and its movement is vast, and he has a way of getting things across simply and effectively.

Since meeting Arda I have noticed a big difference in the strength and control of my body as a whole and as I
originally stated my neck is much better.
He has clearly explained to me how to engage the relevant muscles so as
not to strain the neck muscles.

As I write, it will be more than a year since I’ve been working with Arda Yazgan. I have been building strength from a couple of injuries (Knee and pre-emptively taking care of my lower back with the WFH culture that the pandemic has brought on) and have found Arda to be extremely helpful in his attention to form, posture and correctness with which to exercise.
I never worry about hurting myself when I’m training with him and feel myself getting stronger and gaining knowledge of smaller muscles and joints that are so vitally important for movement, strength and conditioning of the body. I’m feeling more confident in engaging the right muscles and taking on more challenging exercises to strengthen my body.
I have come to really enjoy working with Arda because of his deep knowledge, commitment to exercising and willingness to help always.

I wanted to take the time to write you this brief note to thank you for the noticeable difference you
have made in my life.

I have been in two major motor vehicle accidents in my life and the rehabilitation has been extensive in
both cases. After my second MVA I was introduced to Pilates as part of my therapy. It helped me
immensely and helped to facilitate my recovery.
​
I started doing Pilates again about 2.5 years ago and found that it was helping me in a lot of diverse
ways then I hit a plateau until you started teaching at the Club Pilates studio in South surrey.
Your method of teaching far surpasses anything else I have experienced to date in this discipline. Your
breadth of knowledge as to how the body moves and works together is inciteful and has allowed me to
unravel 30 years of injuries that I have been living with and accepted as to that is the way it was always
going to be.

Working with you for the last 4 months has changed my world. I feel like there’s light at the end of the
tunnel and that with your instruction I will be able to overcome these challenges that I have been
struggling with for so long.

I am pleased to provide this letter of recommendation for Arda Yazgan. I have known Mr. Yazgan for a year. Before I met Mr. Yazgan, I was living an unhealthy lifestyle and had very little mobility, minimum core strength and poor posture. Several years ago, I was in a car accident where I could not walk for three weeks. I attended several years of physiotherapy and massage therapy. I had severe back pain and was unable to ski, hike or walk for short periods of time. I was hopeless and thought my back injury would impact my physical activity for years and years to come.
I met Mr. Yazgan a year ago. He focused on helping me strengthen my mobility, posture, and core. My life changed because of him. I can go for long hikes and not have to worry about my back causing me pain. I can go skiing for an entire day and not just a couple hours. Mr. Yazgan encouraged me to live a healthier lifestyle and believed that I could. Without the support from him I would not be where I am today. I am ever so grateful for his support and encouragement. I have significantly improved my mobility, posture, and core because of Mr. Yazgan. I now look forward to minimal back pain and I am a much happier person because of it.
